Any turtle that has really long claws is most likely a male. That includes Eastern Painted Turtles. Other traits of the Eastern Painted Turtle are 2 yellow spots behind each eye and white stripes running down the throat. Red or orange stripes running down the legs and tail. The shell can be dark green to black in color, with golden or yellow stripes going horizontally across the shell. There might be a bit of a orange or yellow vertical stripe running down the middle of the shell. There are also red circles with red half circles and then a red dot in the middle, going around the edge of the shell.
Snapping turtles have long tails and claws
Eastern Painted Turtles reaches up to 7-8", though natural intergrades with Midland Painted ancestry can get larger.
some turtles have long claws and some dont the girls have long the boys hane short
cool
No, male painted turtles will have long tails and claws, narrow shells, concave plastrons, and the cloaca is far down the tail, there is a large gap between the start of the tail and the cloaca. Female painted turtles have short tails, wide shells, short claws, flat or convex plastrons, and the cloaca is tucked up under the shell at the start of the tail. Although gender can be determined by the length of the tail, I find that it is not the easiest way. I find that how far down the tail the cloaca is, is the best and most accurate way of determining gender.
i have shayan
a mobilian turtle (male or female) MALE-has long claws and bottom of shell caves in and there is a hole halfway on the tail FEMALE-has short claws and also the bottom of the shell should come out or be flat and the hole shold be right where the tail starts.

2 hours
Red painted turtles are very good at swimming. Although they may not be super-fast, they can swim for long periods of time and know their way around. In fact, most turtles are good swimmers.
They sure can as long as they like eachother! ;)
