No, they actually don't because a bead is what is used to attach the feather hair extension into your hair. You can actually take the feathers out on your own if you're careful enough - just by simpily pulling your hair out through the top of the bead. However, if the bead is tight enough, you shouldn't be able to pull your hair out. The extensions don't do any damage to the hair because the bead is attached in such a way as to not break off your hair or anything. I have four of the feather extensions and so far they are perfectly fine. Just be gentle when bbrushing or combing through your hair, styling it, and washing it - if too rough then you could very well yank the extension, along with some hair, out.
