Do you need braces if your top middle teeth overlap your bottom but your middle bottom teeth stick out too?

I had a huge overbite where you couldn't see any of my bottom teeth. I had to have braces on for 2 years and about a month. I also had to were binders and a power chain, (power chains are the regular chain you have on but you can only have one color and the color is all connected rather then individual. The colors are tiny little rubber band like things. And power chains are more tighter). For me I got my top braces on first then a few months latter I got my bottom braces on.

i don't know i think it just depends on how bad it is mine is 7.5 mm and i have them for 18 months- 2 years but my friends is a LOT smaller and hers are only for 6 months at the most.

Yes you will. Because not only do you have over-lapping teeth, but also an overbite - something that's very common these days. So yes, braces will help the teeth starighten out how they are supposed to be. (:

It depends on how big your over bite is. Usually people with over bites only have to wear them for a year to a year and a half.

It depends on your orthodontist and whether there's anything else wrong that you can't see. If it's as simple as you say, it might be a year or less, but I'm not a doctor.

It all depends on if your teeth need to be straightened as well and how large the overbite is; however, most people tend to be in braces for about 2 1/2 to 3 years.
