Probably not. Too little information for a good answer. Are you overweight? Could your blood pressure machine be malfunctioning. Is just your's high or does it read high for everybody. Are you "normal" readings in the high area. Don't fool around. If it's high, get it down. Lose weight. Exercise. See your Dr. for bp lowering drugs. A stroke is not a laughing matter. --Absolutely anxiety can raise blood pressure. Try sitting and relaxing for at least 5 minutes before checking it in a comfortable place. Anxiety releases adrenaline, which will raise your bp, as will exercise (even though it helps it in the long run). However, if you're calm cool and collected and your bp is still high you should definetely go see your doctor, just to be on the safe side.
