I have a really hard time with the surfaces and characteristics of the teeth so for an extra credit project I constructed a power point of a rotating tooth and made identification labels with cute ways and sayings to remember certain identifying marks. It was really fun and the teacher loved it.
Tooth morphology is important because it directly influences dental function, including biting, chewing, and overall oral health. Variations in shape and structure can affect how teeth align and interact, impacting occlusion and potentially leading to dental issues such as wear or misalignment. Additionally, understanding tooth morphology is crucial for dental professionals in procedures like restorations, orthodontics, and forensic identification. Overall, it plays a key role in both functional and aesthetic outcomes in dentistry.
