Most people who are colorblind do not consider themselves to be handicapped, and some don't even know that they are colorblind.

They see colors like everyone else, just their perceptions of the colors are slightly different with not as much distinction between various colors.

As far as "moral issues". Almost universally Red was chosen as the "stop" signal, and Green was chosen as the "go" signal. Yet, the most common type of colorblindness is the inability to distinguish between Red & Green.
The "top vs bottom" is still universal, but perhaps it is time for society recognize the needs of the few.
