Not everyone has heart failure; it is a specific medical condition that occurs when the heart cannot pump blood effectively. While it is a common issue, particularly among older adults, many people maintain healthy heart function throughout their lives. Regular check-ups and a healthy lifestyle can help prevent heart failure.

Can heart palpitations be fatal?

No, not most of the time anyway. Heart palpitations are irregular rhythms of the heart which are usually 160-220 bpm. But they can lead to more serious conditions if left too long or mixed with underlying heart problems/disease. For example, I had a palpitation for 17 hours, was shocked 3 times and it didn't work so I started to go into heart failure. If the 4th shock hadn't of worked, I would have went into heart failure. As we know, heart failure is curable and especially with me being an active teenager. But for older people this can be fatal, leading to cardiac arrest. But once again, only if left too long.
