Yes, an open wound (cut, scratch, ect.) is considered a local infection. However, if left untreated, the local infection can turn into a systemic infection, affecting organs and tissues all over. For example, septicemia is considered to be a systemic infection (bacteria and other pathogenic organisms in the blood stream) that can occur from a simple cat scratch or other open wound. To prevent such a horrendous infection, maintain proper sterile technique and wound maintenance so bacteria and other pathogenic organisms cannot infiltrate the wound.
Oxygenated blood is bright red; deoxygenated blood is dark red.
Dark blood is blood from which the oxygen has been depleted. Once it is filled with oxygen again (in the lungs), it becomes lighter in color.
It loses oxygen!
In the top right of the screen is a little wheel thing with a dot on it, you turn it to wrap the wound in a bandage
Open the blinds during the day!
Is the blood real dark? It's possible for that type of wound to break blood vessels internally -- under the skin -- and encapsulate the blood inside. When this happens, eventually the encapsulation breaks and you get bleeding. I'd have to look more to be more certain, but this isn't a surprising turn of events.
As it gives out oxegen it looses the bright red
Does hydrogel cause excessive wound drainage
As it gives out oxegen it looses the bright red
Upper parts will turn plae due to lack of blood, lower parts will turn dark blue or purple as the blood pools inside the body, this is called levidity.
