Pain in the right lower quadrant of the abdomen is an indicator of possible appendicitis. If you push in, on the right lower quadrant, and let go quickly, the pain is characteristically quite intense (known as rebound pain or tenderness). If appendicitis (or any other concerning pain) is occuring, see your physician or, if urgent, go to the nearest hospital emergency room.
When the inflammation is limited to appendix, you get colicky pain in umbilical area. When the overlying peritoneum is involved, you get continuous type of pain in right iliac region. The severe pain of peritoneum dominate the colicky pain of appendix.

It is possible to feel pain in the lower right quadrant (LRQ) during menstruation if it's related to uterine cramping. Ovarian cysts and/or inflammation can also cause LRQ pain. Appendicitis also causes LRQ pain. If you push on the spot that hurts and then let go, does it hurt more after you've let go? If you answer yes to that question you need to go to an urgent care center or emergency room to be evaluated for appendicitis.
if you have pains then you should probably go see a doctor cause you never know
It's possible that an appendix infection could clear up on it's own, but not likely. If it did clear up on it's own, then it could become inflamed again at a later date.
The early signs of appendicitis is: * Constipation, diarrhea or gas * Dull pain beginning around the navel and the pain becoming sharper in the lower right portion of the abdomen (to the right of the pubic bone) and this can take place over a two hour period. * Loss of appetite * Low grade fever. * Nausea and vomiting * Tenderness if you press on the lower right front of abdomen (to the right of the pubic bone.) If you press and take your hand away and there is pain this is a good indication you have appendicitis. It is extremely important that the individual with these symptoms get into their doctor immediately (tell reception at the doctors office what symptoms are being experienced) or go to the ER. If appendicitis is not treated it can cause death.
Yes, of course you can have a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) and appendicitis. They are from different body systems. The UTI is fixed with antibiotics and appendicitis is ONLY fixed with surgery. If you had appendicitis you would get sicker every day with more pain and fever. You would know if you had appendicitis, it DOESN:T go away!
