Does lack of sleep cause nose bleeds my adoptive mother follows the traditional Chinese medicine and she says that Lack of sleep causes nose bleeds because of some kind of body Fires?

as far as i know , your adoptive mother get cold because of the cold wind,but your mother has some fires as you mentioned above "body fires",then her nose bleeds and can't fall asleep easily.The body fires cause the lack of liquid in heart,in Chinese we call it JIN YE. the heart is a leader in our mind,it controls our mental activity and when it "get fired",it may cause a series of illness.your mother can drink some honeysuckle tea or chrysanthemum tea.
