Unless the lotion contains some form of vitamin C, the chances of it eliminating a pimple scar is very slim. All lotion does is moisturize the skin, nothing more. Pimple scars are very hard to eliminate and therefore the only option would be to decrease the redness by applying either lemon juice, distilled vinegar, tea tree oil, honey, or anything with vitamin C. Creams that specially treat acne scars are also available.
To permanently get rid of acne scars, there are skin resurfacing techniques available. There are also laser treatments which don't seem to work too well. The laser just ends up building more scar tissue underneath your skin.
