It does sometimes, it depends on how hungry you are. Especially with me and my high metabolism, smoking actually makes me hungry all the time now. If Im really really hungry and then have a cigarette, it feel like Im having a hypoglycemic episode. Smoking 2 packs a day with a high metabolism=absolutley no weight gain. BUT, listen, I remember when I was not a smoker and I just ate because I enjoyed it, but Im starting to think now that when we smokers are "hungry" I think if a normal person felt our "hunger" they would consider that feeling starved. But enough about that. I believe that nicotine surpresses the urge to snack. I dont think it surpresses the urge to have a meal. If I were you, if you feel hungry, EAT! Smoking on an empty stomach makes stomach acid rise, hurts the kidneys, and it forces your liver to empty the excessive sugar it has stored so you can get a buzz. Once that excess sugar is gone. Your famished. This is what I deal with on a daily basis and feel like an idiot everytime it happens. Hope this helps.
