So, at the end of the day it's the amount and the substance together that decides if you put on weight or not. It only takes a little soda to give you a lot of energy. Fruit juices have less sugar (=less energy)so you can have more of those and still be able to use it all up. But there's still energy in there, so you're better off sticking with water.
