it depends. with me it hurt but not a lot. im really sensitive towards shots. with me i could feel the Novocaine being injected and when the dentist took out the needle it still hurt a little bit. but after a few seconds it was completely numb. sometimes where the dentist sticks the needle it could be near the nerve and u might feel something like an electric shock. even though i never experienced this shock today my dentist informed me of this.

Just got finished with a lot of dental work. As above- not a lot. In most cases, the dentist will put a swab on your gum with a medicine that numbs the surface of the gum where you get the shot. The hypodermic used is a very thin needle and causes less pain than getting a vaccination. I have a very good dentist that takes his time, does it right, and there is VERY little pain. What there is lasts for about 1-2 seconds. (More like a pinch than anything) Take a deep breath, have something else in mind that you want to think about, and it will be over before you know it. Good luck!
I don't know but I am having them from a novacaine shot I received on Tuesday. I came down with them Wednesday afternoon and still have them on Thursday.
Yes . I have had ear pain for 2 weeks now after a shot by the dentist. There was a nerve hit . what can you do about this pain
What is Novacaine made from?
It either hurts and you survive or it hurts and you die.
Novacaine - band - was created in 1996.
does novacaine show positive for THC on a drug test
It hurts a lot.
well both hurt but when the take out blood what hurts is the needle when I get the shot with medicine it hurts more but don't think about it and just listen to music or read a book something to distract you
Yes, pain after a shot is called phlebitis, it is caused when the needle hits the bone. It is very common, it should go away in a few days, sometimes, rarely will it last a week or more.
They yelp!! Because it hurts them!!
Well then it is because he thinks that you do not NEED that shot. The shot is with novacaine and is given if necessary due to its numbing result. All you feel is a little pinch but if he asks you , you should take it. Hope it helps.
No, it's just like getting a shot in your arm or having blood drawn. There is usually a bruise left. Just a side note, Novacaine is no longer used in dental offices, but it is a general name sometimes used for all dental shots.
