It depends on what the disease is, if you have skin problems the salt water is supposed to be excellent, the salt (and even mud from the Dead sea) are said to add a radiating glow and fight off micro-infections.

For all other diseases, it has been proven that a patient's attitude and emotional state have a direct correlation to the healing of the body (psychosomatic situation).

So basically, If you are the type of person that feels relaxed and happy when looking at the waves, it is much more likely your treatments will be more effective/your condition will improve.

If you are asking if a patient with terminal cancer can be fully cured by the ocean alone, the answer is probably not, but you never know the power of nature and the human mind ;)
