Diabetes type 2, usually older people get type 2 diabetes.. What happens is that the pancreas slow down (they get tyred) and produce less insulin than the body needs. The person diagnosed needs to have someone help plan a balanced diet and sometimes pills are needed, to help the sugar in the blood stream go to the organs.
Type II is considered a milder form of diabetes because of its slow onset (sometimes developing over the course of several years) and because it usually can be controlled with diet and oral medication
Type One Diabetes: Children and young adults, whose pancreas shuts down Type Two Diabetes: Occurs in anyone with poor eating habits over a long period of time, and/or is obese
The types of Diabetes are type 1 with sub type -brittle diabetes, type 2 and juvenile diabetes, type 3 (under research) , and Gestational diabetes during pregnancy.
Diabetic Retinopathy is common with patients who have suffered from diabetes for a long time as their blood sugar isn’t always in control.
As there are two types of Diabetes, Type I or also known as Juvenile Diabetes and Type II Diabetes complicated by the fact that there are a number of types of Insulin prescribed for type I diabetics and a number of drugs that are available to prescribe to type II diabetics and is further complicated by the fact that some people are prescribed both an insulin and oral medication which makes it harder to narrow down the most prescribed medicine to treat diabetes.
There is NO type of 'good' diabetes, but the one your looking for is probably type 1 diabetes. People are usually born with that type. Type 2 diabetes is the one people get if they're overweight, don't exercise, and they eat junk all the time.

Type 2 diabetes is not the same thing as pre-diabetes. Pre-diabetes, or borderline diabetes, is a condition where the body either slows down insulin production or cannot correctly utilize insulin. Blood sugars are slightly elevated at times without taking any oral medication. This is usually associated with obesity and can usually be corrected with proper diet and exercise. If left untreated, pre-diabetes can become type 2 diabetes, which is basically a more severe form of pre-diabetes. With type 2, high blood sugars are usually treated with oral medication, or insulin injections if necessary. Your body does not produce enough insulin, nor does it use it correctly. This differs from type 1 diabetes, where the body does not produce insulin at all.
