As someone who has hit menopause, moved through it early with not alot of issues, the body plays tricks on humans.
Not getting into it all, but one that goes along with the lessening of estrogen, I find the fact that armpit hair and leg hair have diminished as well. Mine without changing color, but then I am a redhead who's arms/legs/pits always had light blonde hair.
The counteraction of the hair on my head..thick curly quick growing hair. Maybe that will come to change as well. There are many women (as men) that loose their hair on their heads as men do when body chemistry adjusts to aging process. And then, you have those who are on medications or chemotherapy, etc which is a chemical change that happens.
So, there is no absolute answer to this. Just individual. Oh, and your genetics tell talk strongly about what happens as well.
