Diabetes is when the pancreas doesnt make insulin at all, doesnt make enough insulin or the body is resistant to insulin.

type 1 diabetes is when your pancreas stops working which produces insuline which helps your blood sugar stay leveled for example if you eat a candy bar and do not have diabetes your pancreas produces insulin to make sure your blood suagr does not go over 180 if you have diabetes like me and i eat a candy bar i need to take a insulin shot which kills the sugar basically so my blood sugar doesn't go high. It is treated with insulin and a healthy diet. If I eat salad it doesnt have a lot of sugar so my blood sugar will not go high and i will not have to take a lot of insulin.

Basically, insulin comes from your pancreas which kills sugar

with a broken pancreas no insulin no killing blood sugar.
