Yes and it takes three complete separate shots to have full coverage. You do one and then wait 2-3 months for the second, do the second and wait 6 months for the third. There is also a booster shot you can get 2-3 years later. Here in CA all students going into the 7th grade are required to get the series, so as a teacher I decided it would be smart to get it too. I found it hard to find a doctor to give them to me and they are expensive. Ran me about 200-250.00 before I was done and it wasn't covered by insurance .
