CD8+ T lymphocytes, also known as cytotoxic T cells, become cytotoxic when they are activated by presenting antigens on major histocompatibility complex class I molecules. These cells play a key role in the immune response by directly killing infected or abnormal cells.

Activated Tc cells can differentiate into both cytotoxic T-lymphocytes, which directly kill infected or cancerous cells, and memory T cells, which are long-lived and provide a rapid response upon re-exposure to the same pathogen. This differentiation allows the immune system to mount a faster and more efficient response upon encountering the same threat in the future.
The primary function of the thymus is the processing and maturation of special lymphocytes (white blood cells) called T-lymphocytes or T-cells, which are associated with antibody production. T-lymphocytes migrate from the bone marrow to the thymus, where they mature and differentiate until activated. in short the thymocytes present in the thymus produces the T lymphocytes
T lymphocytes are characterized by a round or oval nucleus with a small amount of cytoplasm. They have cell surface receptors that can recognize specific antigens presented by antigen-presenting cells. T lymphocytes differentiate into various subsets such as helper T cells, cytotoxic T cells, regulatory T cells, and memory T cells.
T-lymphocytes are produced in the bone marrow from hematopoietic stem cells. They mature in the thymus, hence their name "T cells."
Perforin is produced by cytotoxic T cells (CD8+ T cells) and natural killer (NK) cells. It is used in these cells to induce cell apoptosis in target cells, such as infected or cancerous cells.
The thymus is responsible for the t cell production.

There are two main types of lymphocytes,B lymphocytes,T lymphocytes.Plasma B lymphocytes produce large amounts of antibodies when you have a bacteria, virus or fungi.Memory B lymphocytes remember things you've already had and change into Plasma B lymphocytes to then produce certain antibodies that can kill the bacteria before it turns into a disease.The T lymphocytes are much more aggressive though,things like cytotoxic T lymphocytes will destroy cells that are infected with a virus.
