How can you tell if a garden snail is pregnant?

They get a small growth, which will soon disappear. Pregnancy is better for them if they have soil. The snail will eventually dig a hole in the soil and lay a batch of tiny white eggs, about the size of small peas. Snails lay about 100 at a time.
