Our lifestyles changed. People have started eating more fast food or ready meals and do not get enough exercise. 20 to 50 years ago, tips like putting down your fork in between bites or drinking water in between every bite, etc. was the norm and was encourage by many people. Socially, anorexia is greatly harming our society. It is a little nagging bug on the back of society that shows us how destructive we (and the ideals) are becoming. For a perosn suffereing from anorexia, social problems can happen like isolation and depression, too.

Deviant behavior means that they separate themselves from society's norms and develop their own way of living. so anorexia is deviant because all of society (most, anyway) says that we should eat and eat healthy.
