In "Forrest Gump," Lt. Dan Taylor is portrayed as a double amputee through a combination of practical effects and digital technology. The film uses a mix of prosthetic limbs and CGI to depict his amputations realistically. Gary Sinise, who plays Lt. Dan, underwent special effects makeup and wore prosthetic legs in certain scenes, enhancing the authenticity of his character's experience. Additionally, skilled cinematography and editing techniques effectively conveyed the impact of his injuries on his life and identity.
Lt. Dan Taylor was Forrest Gump's CO in the movie. I don't who Captain Dan is.
Lt. Dan
Lt. Dan Taylor was played by actor Gary Sinese who, thank goodness has both legs intact. To achieve the legless look for the movie the actor's legs were wrapped in blue cloth. The camera doesn't pick up that color so it looks as if the legs were just not there.
Lieutenant Dan Taylor was portrayed excellently by Gary Sinise.

The New Year's Eve party where Forrest and Lt. Dan meet Carla and Lenore at the bar took place on December 31, 1971. This is evidenced by the Dick Clark show from Times Square when the ball drops and 1972 lights up, welcoming in the new year.
Lt. Dan Taylor didn't see the movie Forrest Gump but was a character in the movie. Gump not only saved Lt. Dan's life, but he restored his faith.
Lt. Dan was hit with shrapnel in the Vietnam War.
StreetScape - 2011 Gary Sinise and Lt- Dan Band 2-13 was released on: USA: 6 October 2012
Lt. Dan Brotheridge was the first allied soldier that died during D-Day, June 6th 1944
I don't recall a dream in the movie but Lt. Dan felt his destiny was to fight and die in an American war.
