You don't. To attempt convince a doctor to do something unethical or morally wrong is a waste of your time and his.

I do not know how doctors treat a broken wrist in this century, but when I broke my wrist in the late 1990's,the doctor just gave me an X-ray and put a cast on my arm. Unless your arm was infected, there is no need for a shot.
Question for you? Did you do any hand and wrist therapy exercises following the removal of the cast? This is usually recommended, so as to get your flexibility/mobility back in your hand & wrist.
