This must be done with a very slow taper as the physical withdrawal symptoms are enough to make you want to go to the hospital (especially if on it for long periods). Symptoms, from my experience, include, rapid heartbeat, panic, tightness in chest (much like a panic attack) and also a strange aching of my tongue (go figure). I find at most I can go 8 hours before the withdrawal symptoms start up again (badly). It is one of the hardest things I've ever experienced, and the cravings are harsh.

Recommend doctor (preferably psychiatrist-supervised) involvement.
