First, I would definitely discourage you from becoming a smoker just to do the experiment! Second, if you need a human in order to do the experiment, I would ask my parent if they know any adult smokers who might be willing to help with the experiment. Exactly how you set up your experiment would depend on what you intend or wish to study. For example, you might tell smokers you just wish to observe them smoking. Without telling them what you are observing, use a second hand on a watch or stop watch to time how long of an inhale and time between inhaling the smoke and exhaling the smoke. Your hypothesis might be something like, greater times of inhalation would expose the lungs to higher numbers of chemicals. You'd need to really think through what you want to show.
