It is possible to have a cramp in your fingers on the same hand that you have Dequervains without it being associated. De Quervain's is normally restricted to issues in the tendon that movers your thumb away from the fingers.
Some effective hand cramp stretches include gently stretching the fingers back, making a fist and then opening the hand, and rotating the wrists in circular motions. These stretches can help relieve discomfort and improve flexibility in the hands.
Hand cramps can be caused by overuse of the muscles, dehydration, lack of certain minerals like potassium or calcium, or nerve compression.
I couldn't fit it all in, so heres the full info: When i write large amounts or am writing an exam, the muscles in my hand, and then my forearm start to cramp. This can also happen when reading for too long, and occasionally typing as well. I don't know whether this is writers cramp or not, I'm only 13. I have several questions: A: is this writers cramp? B: if it is not writers cramp, what is it? C: Is there anyway i can stop it? Its extremely annoying, as it only takes about half a page or so of writing before the cramping starts. D: Is there anywhere else i can get awnsers? This is the only place i could think of. Awnsers appreciated, thanks! Arget.
