if its really big get a needle (this will not hurt at all if done right) sanitize it in alcohol, wash your with mild soap and hot not warm but hot water, take the needle and poke at it a little to remove the first layer of dirt, then get a zit popper or paperclip and put alcohol on it, then press it around the blackhead to remove inner dirt, also you can use you hands. just wash your hand very well with hot water and mild soap, then lightly press you nails around it to remove the oil/dirt. after this rewash face with GENTLE soap and HOT water, then put a thin layer of Neosporin to prevent more dirt from getting in. trust me this works.

Unfortunately, sebaceous skin glands get plugged up in some types of skin--often during puberty--and over time, this "plug" turns black. You can remove them yourself by steaming your skin (ie a hot wash cloth) and then using a tool to squeeze the bump out. Everything must be sterile, or you will cause an infection and create other problems.

Visiting a dermatologist to have this done is another alternative.

Blackheads, like all acne, are a build up of dead skin cells and sebaceous fluid on the skin. Increases in sebaceous fluid are triggered by hormones and are determined by genetics and diet.
