vancomycin is the antibiotic of choice for MRSA, injected intravenously.

A little more...Vancomycin may be a good place to start in treating MRSA, but VRSA strains now exist too. Beyond vancomycin, we look to daptomycin and linezolid, among other new antibiotics. Sept-2011.

Does freezing kill MRSA?

Freezing does not effectively kill MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) bacteria. While extreme cold can inhibit bacterial growth and reproduction, it does not guarantee complete elimination. MRSA can survive in harsh conditions, and freezing may simply put the bacteria in a dormant state rather than eradicate them. Proper disinfection and sterilization methods are necessary to eliminate MRSA effectively.

What can you add to the laundry to kill MRSA besides chlorine bleach?

To kill MRSA in laundry, you can add white vinegar or hydrogen peroxide. Both act as natural disinfectants and can help eliminate bacteria. Additionally, using a high-temperature wash cycle can also aid in effectively killing MRSA. Ensure to dry the laundry thoroughly, as heat helps further reduce bacterial presence.
