How do you know if a product has gluten in it?

Gluten should usually be in the list of ingredients on foods (particularly as it is a common allergy). Gluten is a protein from wheat/rye/barley etc so if you are unsure but see these ingredients listed, then probably best to avoid it.

• Modified Food Starch
• Food Starch
• Enriched Bleached Flour
• Enriched Flour
• Wheat Germ

• Bulgar
• Soy Sauce

For the more sensitive people with Celiac the ingredients would be-

• Caramel Color/Flavoring
• Emulsifiers
• Colorings (Red 40, Blue 10, Yellow 5, etc.)
• Natural Flavoring
• Baking Powder
• Glucose Syrup

You probably know best how sensitive you are so if you get a reaction and you notice one of the ingredients was in the more sensitive category then you will know to avoid that ingredient for now on.
