The question is vague, but I'll give it a shot.

The main female body types are pyramid, inverse pyramid, rectangular, and hourglass. The vast majority of women are rectangular, and traditionally the most attractive is hourglass.

You look at your hips relative to your shoulders. If your hips are broader, you are a pyramid, shoulders broader you are a inverse pyramid.

If they are the same, you are rectangular. If you are rectangular, but have a smaller midsection you are hourglass (most people do at least a little, but to be truly "hourglass" you have to dip in rather significantly).

I'll assume that you're a girl since men only have 4 styles of water wear.

ONE-PIECE BATHING SUITS are for older, middle-aged women, professional swimmers, or for heavier-set younger people. Although if you prefer to wear them if you're young and skinny, that's alright too, just be sure to get cute patterns in there or frilly designs (take advantage of the extra fabric!).

BIKINIS are for tall, lanky, teen bodies. Middle-aged women also are acceptable in bikini-style swimwear. Make sure you're comfortable in what you wear (since this is basically a bra and underwear but looser fitted), or it will show in your body language.

TANKINIS have a slimming affect and are acceptable for all ages. They do make your body look square and shapeless though, so be careful when you buy a tankini ... make sure the looser fabric around your stomach is ruched or has ruffles to elongate and highlight your beautiful figure. Stay away from stripes or patterns for this type of waterwear.
