For women, the best bet to make a wide noser appear thinner is with makeup. First, you need a foundation or powder a shade darker than your natural skin tone. You also need a highlighter or a foundation/powder a shade lighter than your skin tone. I usually use a highlighter like Too Faced's Snow Bunny, and a light shade of bronzer for the darker. Begin by putting on your regular foundation, then take your darker shade of foundation or powder and with a small brush run in down the sides of your nose. The color should not be harsh but just a tad darker than your skin tone. Start at the sides of the bridge of your nose and down and around the base but do not put any under the nose. This is called contouring because these shadows around the nose make it appear to be thinner. Afterwards blend this color so that it is not very noticeable. Next take your lighter shade, which is here used as a highlighter and draw a line down the center of your forehead, nose and chin. People will notice the highlighted line because it will reflect in the light. In other words, if people are directed to the center of your nose, the contoured areas will be less noticeable, and the highlighted area will also make your face look more symmetrical which makes everyone appear more attractive. Finish your look off with loose powder to set the work you have done below. You may not notice that your nose appears thinner because you KNOW what you have done, but trust me, other people will!
