How do you tell someone you've got cancer?

I'd just tell them outright... maybe in a manner similar to how James Stewart's character told John Wayne's character he had cancer in The Shootist. Yeah, that's how I'd do it.

But, the reality of it is that you know the person you'll be telling this to - your judgment on how to go about this is going to be the best one to use.

Having one sign or symptom may not be enough to figure out what's causing it. This happens most often with cancers of the pancreas, stomach, esophagus.
