I am an expert on this, do NOT lean your head upward, this is dangerous. Lean forward and hold for 30 seconds. Otherwise, tilting upward can cause serious sicknesses and even death. Please use tissue or a wipe, toilet paper sticks to your nose when it gets blood on it. Your nose is made primarily of cartilage. Feel where the cartilage ends and bone comes in. Right at that point is where you squeeze your nose. And, you can put skin lotion, or some type of treatment for dry crusty skin. This sure is to STOP BLOODY NOSES RIGHT AWAY. To tell you HOW you get bloody noses, it's either your nose is way too dry, or, you bump into something so hard your veins split and blood comes out. Thank you for asking this question.
