There are a number of ways to relieve hypotension(low blood pressure). Interestingly, they are similar to the treatment for high blood pressure.

1) Drink plenty of water. Artificial beverages (pop, alcohol, energy drinks, non-herbal tea) can be harmful especially if you already have low blood pressure.

2) Eat a balanced, healthy diet. Most importantly, this means avoiding sugar and fatty foods. Sweets and fast food are a big no-no. Check the ingredients on the foods that you buy. You'll be surprised at how difficult it is to find something made without high fructose corn syrup these days- even a can of beans! Cooking your own food with fresh ingredients is the best way to avoid all the chemicals and other harmful ingredients you'll find in just about all prepackaged foods. Try eating smaller portions, but more often during the day. This is healthy for anyone with or without health problems. Your body is designed as a 'grazer'; small portions of healthy food throughout the day will improve your health and help you feel a lot better in general.

3) Reducing your potassium intake is also helpful for most people. This does not mean getting rid of it altogether. Bananas, salted nuts, dried fruit and most other salty snacks should be avoided but you don't have to drop them completely.

4) Get tested for choline deficiency. It is part of the vitamin-B complex and, like most vitamins, is lost from cooked or processed foods. Once again, a good idea is to eat fresher, less processed foods. But in the end, a trip to your doctor is advisable especially if you are experiencing dizziness, faintness, and fatigue. one way is to rehydrate yourself. That is one of the reason your blood pressure could be low.
