It is not clear what you mean. As it stands that is a hard question to make sense of. If you mean what is it about a cholera infection that affects the digestive system, then the answer is that it releases a poison (toxin, in particular cholera toxin) that makes the cells of your gut release chloride ions into the gut. This makes for a negative electric charge inside the gut so that the positive sodium ions in the cells follow the chloride ions into the gut. This means that the stuff in the gut becomes so salty that it draws water from the tissues into the gut. It also makes the gut so full of liquid that the patient gets a watery diarrhoea and is likely to die from too little water and salt in the tissues.

This is why the best treatment for most cases of cholera is lots of water with a mild amount of soda and salt in it (about a level teaspoonful in a pint of water). In severe cases they would drip the solution directly into the bloodstream.

If you mean: "What does that do for the bacteria?" then the answer is that the diarrhoea carries them outside and spreads them so that they can infect other victims.

In case of cholera, patient may get severe dehydration. So the blood pressure falls down and the blood supply of the kidney gets adversely affected. There is acute renal shut down and patient may land up in acute renal failure, even if you revive him out of fallen blood pressure by giving intavenous fluid. This complication is better prevented, rather than treated.
