I dont think it will. DEPO will only prevent pregnancy. For other hormonal problems it is advisable to see your doctor and have your hormones checked.

i actually just asked this question! i have no idea, but i do know that i've been on the mini pill (errin) for the past three weeks and that i started having migraines about a week in. but i cannot find anything on the web that says the mini pill causes migraines. in fact, most sites say progestin Birth Control is actually prescribed for women who have migraines, because they think the migraines come from the estrogen in combined pills.

have you been having migraines on progesterone birth control?

i have an appointment with a neurologist tomorrow and i'm going to ask about it. New update! i saw the neurologist and he said that progestin birth control can indeed cause migraines. he gave me several samples of migraine meds to try.

The pre-period drop in estrogen is the most common migraine trigger in women. While on Depo Provera, a woman doesn't experience this drop. As she stops depo provera and her periods return, she will once again experience this cyclic drop in estrogen, and may note migraines returning. If you have never had migraines before stopping depo provera , see your health care provider for an evaluation.
