When someone has Diabetes if it is not treated with it can lead to many different other health problems but can also will produce large amouts of glucose in the blood which will then damage the blood vessels, nerves and organs. When a person has diabetes the circulatory system would get affected because your blood cells burn sugar for energy to go around the whole body. Diabetes disrupts the vascular or circulatory system which can affect how our body heals itself.

In people with diabetes, glucose, the common sugar in your body that is used for energy, tends to accumulate in high amounts. This extra glucose can attach to proteins in the blood vessels and therefore change the structure of the blood vessels to be thicker and less elastic, which makes it harder for blood to squeeze through. If these blood vessels become this way, then the blood vessels in the kidneys, heart, feet, hands, and even eyes are damaged, leading to many more problems.
