'Lila went on mute.' (pg 155) She came back a new person, possibly wanting her opportunity. She saw her fellow peers complaining, just like the way she used to. But it wasn't about the little thing that she would complain about it was about the global awareness. People weren't eating because of the guilt they had on the people that were going through hard time. If Lila had not leaven the school and then come back, she probably would have had a different perspective on this crisis. Although we don't know how she would actually react, but from her former character we can assume that she wouldn't care about the others in the world.
