My understanding is that the drivers of sex addiction are like for any other addiction: life stress levels, familial taboos about sex, isolation from potential supporters, underdeveloped effective coping skills, and perhaps sexual abuse. None of these are confined by socio economic status. We are much more alike than we like to think.
