The egg moves through the tube and finally moves into the uterus. If the female has sex when an egg is present, the egg and sperm meet and the sperm fertilizes the egg or at least tries to (not all sperm succeed; not all eggs get fertilized). IF it fertilizes, the egg moves to the wall of the uterus and attaches (implants). There it will stay until the fetus has grown from the egg. IF the sperm/egg don't fertilize together, the sperm dies. The egg is washed out when a girl has her period (bleeding).
