Dental hygiene was said to be a simple topic which included brushing your teeth properly two times a day and flossing teeth everyday. Dental cleaning from time to time etc. After the introduction of advanced technology, even simple equipment like dental toothbrush and toothpaste has changed and became more effective. Along with that the kind of techniques used by the dentists and dental hygienists for cleaning teeth and oral care have changed and became more beneficial.

Is dental hygienist a bad job for a guy?

Dental hygiene is a bad career for anyone right now. Their are way too many dental hygiene programs graduating way too many dental hygienists and the market is flooded. Most of the work available is part-time with no benefits. This might be acceptable to a married woman with children who does not want to work outside the home much. But as a man, if you plan on supporting a wife and kids this is NOT the job to do that. Plus, you probably will face some sexism in this field. Dentists like hiring the pretty FEMALE dental hygienists fresh out of school. By the way, I am that pretty female dental hygienist (three years) fresh out of school. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS FIELD!!
