There is no correlation between hemoglobin and lung cancer. A high or low hemoglobin can mean any number of conditions; people with lung cancer can have any level of hemoglobin depending on situation and other conditions.
what does 5.8 hemoblobin mean for a african american women
TOTAL WBC COUNT,RBC COUNT,HEMOGLOBIN and platelet count will be decreased in Cancer.
if you have low levels of hemoglobin, you can expect to live for 12 hours longer.
The expected range for hematocrit is 3 times the hemoglobin level, so with a hemoglobin of 12.0 g/dL, the expected hematocrit range would be around 36-40%.
Diabetic ketoacidosis
That may be a symptom, you would need an ultrasound to see for sure.
I'm not sure anyone has done a study looking at it but in theory it would make sense that their time spent in low pressure (commercial airliners are pressurized to the equivalent of 8,000 feet altitude) would lead to higher level so of hemoglobin.
No energy, hard to think, fever, terrible, terrible headache. Source: My experience, I went into the hospital with a hemoglobin level of 4.5. Doctors couldn't believe I was still conscious and walking around.
Well it is certainly not good! Normal hemoglobin values range from 12-16 for females and from 14-18 for males. My husband just had a gastrointestinal bleed, and when his hemoglobin level dipped below 9, they transfused him. His original level upon admittance was 5.8, and he had 8 units of blood before they could get him up above the "9" that they required before they would let him go home. So...you need some iron! I'd def. call the doc about this one...not anything to play around with.
Hemoglobin content in a blood test measures the amount of hemoglobin in the blood, which is essential for oxygen transport. Normal values typically range from 13.8 to 17.2 grams per deciliter for men and 12.1 to 15.1 grams per deciliter for women. Abnormal results, such as low hemoglobin levels, may indicate conditions like anemia, while high levels could suggest polycythemia vera or dehydration. These deviations from normal values warrant further investigation to determine the underlying cause.
Because cancer is uncontrolled mitosis of cells; thus if the mitotic index of the breast cells in question is outside the normal range (above it, generally), then this would suggest increased rate of cell proliferation which could indicate cancer.
you would die. hemoglobin attaches to oxygen to carry it through the body.
