The coccyx forms a really short tail in humans. It is related to a regular tail in other animals that have them.
The sphenoid, ethmoid, sacrum, coccyx, and mandible are all irregular bones.

Sacrum, and Coccyx
The coccyx are 3 small bones fused together at the bottom of your spine, often this means that a fall (trying to land on your bottom) may result in damage/fractures etc to the bones.
The coccyx is the disused remnants of a tail - which we had when the human race was still more closely related to primates. Over millions of years, and successive generations, evolution reduced our need for a tail, and it grew shorter over time. All that remains in modern man - is the four bones of the coccyx - which are fused together.
