The humerus is one of the bones in your arm.
There are three types of bones within the arm. The large bone is the humerus and is in the upper part of the arm. The radius is part of the forearm and are smaller bones. The ulna is another part of a bone in the forearm.
No. The 3 main bones of the arm - namely, the humerus, ulna and radius - are all long bones.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Illu_upper_extremity.jpg this is a pic of the arm bones I think you meant the forearm bones because they have 2, the radius and ulna. The upper arm is the humerus
Actually there are 3 bones in the arm. The Humerus, which is where your Biceps are, the Radius, which is the bone connected to your thumb, and the Ulna, which is connected to your pinky finger. I always remember Ulna, because it sounds like an old lady's name, and old lady's always have their little tea cups and stick their pinky in the air when they sip! My science teacher taught me that. <3 ya! LuvsCam :)
No, bones do not cross when you turn your arm. The bones in your arm, the humerus, radius, and ulna, rotate around each other at the elbow joint to allow for movement.
The Humerus (upper arm), Radius (lower arm) and Ulna (Lower arm and elbow)
The Upper Arm is made of one bone, the Humerus. There are therefore 2 Humerus bones in any mammalian skeleton.
Your radius and ulna are in your lower arm, and the humerus is in you upper arm. The radius goes from your thumb to your humerus, crossing over the ulna which goes from your pinky to your humerus. Your humerus also connects to your scapula (or shoulder blade) in what is called a "ball and socket" - the rounded end of your humerus fits perfectly into the indent in your scapula. In your fingers, you have carpals, which are your wrist bones; metacarpals, which are the palm of your hand; and phalanges, which are your finger bones.
There are two bones in the upper arm: the humerus and the ulna. The humerus is the long bone that runs from the shoulder to the elbow, while the ulna is one of the two bones in the forearm, not the upper arm.
Humerus, Radius and Ulna
They are bones in the arm.
