How long does it take to perm hair?

You should wait at least a month before you go back and get another perm done if it is that you are not happy with it and want to change the results. If you need to get it done again there is no need to go back until you have real regrowth that is noticeably showing.

I'm pretty sure most salons can put a perm on any length of hair. I would say it's easiest to do it on longer hair, but it really depends on the salon. I've done a perm on somebody that had about 5 in. of hair!

If you take care of a perm, it should last you well over half a year, maybe even more.

What i mean by taking care of it is... you have to use the right products that will maintain the curl, instead of loosen it.

And you shouldn't apply much heat to your hair, like straightening it, because it could fall out sooner than the six months.

And you shouldn't comb permed hair. Only use a pick.

Your hair would have to be 9inches to about 11 inches for a decent perm (one that's not way up to the top of your ears.)
