You treat head lice 7-10 days after the fist treatment. You do this because eggs hatch 7-10 days after they are laid. They can't lay eggs until 7 days after they are born! Use this process and you shouldn't have that bad of a prob. :) Hope this helps!

Do topical lice treatments kill unhatched lice eggs?

Topical lice treatments are generally designed to kill live lice but may not effectively eliminate unhatched lice eggs (nits). Many treatments specifically target adult lice and their ability to reproduce, but nits often have a protective shell that makes them resistant to these products. To effectively manage lice infestations, it's important to combine treatment with thorough combing to remove nits and follow up with additional treatments as recommended.

How do you remove nits?

The best way to remove nits (lice eggs) is manually, using a fine tooth lice comb and nit-picking where necessary. Studies show that the best lice comb on the market is the Terminator Lice comb. It beats the Licemeister comb and Rid Combs which are often sold in drugstores. There are many products and devices which can aid in treating lice and nits, but the only, 100% way to get rid of a lice infestation is to comb everything out of the hair. This is what is recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Harvard School of Public Health. There are no shortcuts. We strongly caution you that "if it sounds to good to be true, it is too good to be true." Our company has treated thousands of heads, many of whom tried pesticide based treatments, non-toxic treatments and even controlled heated air devices. In the end those treatments failed and they came to us to "fix" the mistake because we focus completely on 100% lice and nit removal. This is the key.

Can someone get lice more than once?

There are high chances that you will get the lice more than once. Most of the anti lice drugs kill the lice but spare the eggs. The lice will return, when the the eggs hatch. So normally you are advised to repeat the application of drug after a gap, usually one week. You can get the reinfestation with lice many times in row from the classmates of your daughter.
