I think it's just luck of the draw, not a set amount, everyone's different. Some people smoke their entire life and not a problem some smoke a pack and get cancer, the best thing is to avoid them all together.
Probably :D
If there is too much stomach acid and not enough stomach mucus, ulcers may form on the stomach wall. Also, excess stomach acid may enter the esophagus through the cardiac sphincter and cause what is commonly known as heartburn.
Changes in the approach to peptic ulcers is not so recent but has been evolving over the last 10-15 years. Before, all stomach ulcers were thought to be caused by a combination of stress and too much stomach acid. Now, though, doctors believe the bacteria H-Pylori causes a large percentage of peptic ulcers, stomach acid, and reflux.
Too much stress can cause migraine thus increasing hydrochloric acid causing ulcer in the stomach.
No, duodenal ulcers are rather common. In fact, duodenal ulcers are much more common than gastric (stomach) ulcers, and are commonly found in a condition called peptic ulcer disease (PUD).
the harmful chemicals are absorbed into your stomach lining and wear it down
If its the same mg that i had from my doctor then it was one pill three times a day. However you must take it with food as i have been told its bad on stomach and too much usage could cause potential stomach ulcers. If in doubt consult the packet of pills, a chemist or a GP.

There are two common types of ulcers: Stomach ulcers and pressure ulcers (bed sores). Stomach ulcers usually consist of stomach pain that gets worse after eating. These can be commonly treated with over the counter antacids. Pressure ulcers are most commonly found in people who spend multiple days in bed at a time. They are caused from putting pressure on bony areas for prolonged periods. These can be prevented by moving patients in a bed so that they do not put too much pressure on one area of their body for too long.
Gastritis is not a single disease, it is immflammation of the stomach lining and has many causes from drinking too much to a bacteria in the stomach. A peptic ulcer is when a sore or ulcer has been made in the lining of the stomach by the stomach acid.
Ulcers are a tear in the lining of the tissues. Usually occurring in the stomach and small intestine, though they can occur in other tissues of the body. The most common cause of stomach ulcers is a bacteria called Helicobacter Pylori. It can be cured with anti-biotics and can be transmitted by eating foods that are contaminated with this bacteria. The bacteria weakens the lining of the stomach which is then further irritated by acids which occur naturally in the stomach causing the ulcer and the pain and burning associated with the ulcer.
Peptic ulcers occur in the stomach - gastric ulcers - and the duodenum (the first part of the small intestine) - duodenal ulcers. They result from an imbalance between the amount of acid in your stomach and its protective lining. In the past it was believed that ulcers were caused by stress, poor eating habits, too much rich, fatty food or spicy food, alcohol or caffeine. However, it is now known that most peptic ulcers are caused by the Helicobacter pylori bacterium (also known asH. pylori). This is particularly true of duodenal ulcers. The cause of most other peptic ulcers is the regular use of medicines such as aspirin and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS), which are often used to treat the symptoms of arthritis.
