They have valves so that they can move lymphatic fluid much the same as veins by skeletal muscle contraction.
The Lymphatic system is one which the world seems to have a difficult time understanding. Basically the lymphatics system is part of our circulatory system. There are lymphatic vessel which have a clear fluid in them much like plasma, this fluid is called lymph. The primary function is to gather excess plasma that gets left behind in interstital fluid from the circulatory system back to the blood.
The cysterna chyli has a much higher concentration of lipids (coming from the small intestine) than lymphatic fluid elsewhere.
Lymph is neither good, nor bad, it is a natural part of the body's immune system. If there is too much in one place it is called lymphedema, or if it is cancerous it is called leukemia. If its doing its job normally, that might be considered good. The preferred term is natural.
The lymphatic system isn't in any one body cavity. It is found throughout the body much as the circulatory system is.
The lymphatic system begins in the tissues where lymphatic vessels collect excess fluid and return it to the bloodstream. This process helps maintain fluid balance in the body and supports immune function by transporting immune cells.
The blood system is obviously continuous (from the heart through the arteries to the capillaries and back through the veins to the heart). This is why its called two way, it goes out then back again. When in the capillary beds much of the blood plasma is lost from the system into the intersticial space (the space between the cells). When this builds up it can create too much pressure for the cells. The job of the lymphatic system is to remove the excess fluid from these spaces. So the vessels of the lymphatic system carry the blood from its own capillary-bed-like regions to the Right Lymphatic Duct and the Thoracic Lymphatic Duct which replace the fluid lost from the blood into the left and right Subclacian Veins. This is why its called one way, it carries fluid only in the return direction. It should be noted that the main purpose of the lymphatic system is in fact in the immune system. But this is not related to the question so I have missed it out.
Edema is not so much about fluid overload in the body than a specific area getting, or accumulating, more than other areas. The fluid in our bodies is managed by the lymphatic system, and if it is blocked, or perhaps overloaded in a specific part of the body, then edema, or swelling of fluid, develops.
How much effort and time do you take in dpnoleeivg the characters and scenario before you write them down into novel format, or do you just start writing the story with one or two characters in mind and go from there?
Cupping therapy mainly is focused on improving lymphatic function, not so much the vascular system.
Approximately 3 liters of interstitial fluid is returned to the bloodstream every 24 hours through the lymphatic system. This fluid helps maintain proper hydration and transport essential nutrients and waste products throughout the body.
As much as it takes to top the system off. Do not overfill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
