A mare is absolutely too old to have a baby when she no longer comes into heat. This will vary considerably with the breed of horse and the overall health of the particular animal. It is common to have mares in their late teens and early twenties to be having healthy foals.
they will be foals!! Loz
it depends on what breed the foal(baby horse) is. You can't ride them though until they are old enough, even if they are the size of a normal horse.
You dont have to be a certain age, it just depends on the experience.

You can NOT ride a horse or a pony at a year old. You will will cause serious damage to their growing body. A large horse is not done developing until 6-8 years of age and a small horse/pony is not done until 4-5 years of age. People how ride their horses before this time most likely will end up with horses that are arthritic and will not live very happy lives.
yes No, Chinook Indians did not ride horses they traveled by canoe everywhere they went. The land was covered with giant old growth trees which made travel by land virtually impossible.
at lease you must ride a motorbike before
When they are first born, they care called newborn foals.
they can be a groom at a horse farm. you get to muck out, groom horses and if you work at a farm which gives riding lessons to children you will lead ponies and horses on the lead round ride.
